Greenland Expeditions (2006, 2007, 2015 and 2017)

Travel is…
… feeling so miniscule while admiring the biggest icebergs in the world being pushed out into the ocean by the Jakobshavn glacier.
… visiting the quaint and colorful village of Ummannaq with it’s white quartz ribbon wrapping their backdrop mountain and towering icebergs slowly trotting along their coastline. A hidden gem.
… setting foot on the site where a group of well preserved mummies (6 women and 2 children wrapped in seal skins were discovered by two hunters in 1972). They were located across the channel from Uummannaq (dates back in mid
1400’s) and are now shared at the Greenland National Museum in Nuuk (which I will visit for the first time in September 2022).
